Aluminis (like all canned drinks) use an EU approved, food grade BPA-free internal liner (plastic based) to prevent any risk of corrosion from liquid contacting metal.
We recommend a 2-year shelf life, and the liner burns off during recycling so doesn't affect recyclability.
Aluminis are 99% - but not 100% - plastic free. Not perfect but, given the need to reduce single use plastic use, a big improvement on using plastic PET bottles
